Product Review - Thursday Plantation's amazing tea tree oil

So, as you may know, I love trying new products and luckily for me, Evolution Organics sell a vast range and we get new goods every week.

I went to work last week wanting to purchase some tea tree oil. This truly magical essential oil is beneficial for skin breakouts, cuts, dry skin and rashes. For me, my issue in the last few months, has been a very itchy and bumpy eczema patch underneath my right foot. I have had it for years but with the heat, it's been getting worse. Knowing how good tea tree oil can be for ezcema I was on the lookout for a natural way to cure it or at least manage it.

First thing I see when I enter our beautiful office (have you seen it? It's gorgeous. Check out our instagram/facebook feed to see it!) is the whole Thursday Plantation range. Result!

Thursday Plantation are a company you can really trust. For nearly forty years, Thursday Plantation has been opening people’s eyes to the restorative power of nature’s oils. Today, Thursday Plantation offers a unique range of health and beauty products, all derived from nature’s oils, to restore your skin to its healthiest. From relieving skin abrasions to restoring radiant, healthy looking skin, Thursday Plantation has you and your family’s health and beauty needs covered.

I left the office with  Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Blemish Gel and I couldn't wait to try it.  My eczema is not acute but I know it's there and because my feet are dry, it get's itchier.

The ingredients in the gel are on point and very minimal, I decided to give it a try. I washed my feet, moisturized, added a generous layer and in the morning, the bumps were tiny and there was no itching. I continued applying the gel every day for 1 week and it's not all gone but it's not bothersome.

Tea tree oil is widely available but what you want is a pure, concentrated source to get the benefits. Tea tree oil is usually used topically (on your skin) but can also be added to mouthwash and toothpaste because tea tree oil has antimicrobial properties that can kill the bacteria that causes bad breath. Tea tree oil is also used to treat dry scalp, congestion, dry skin, treat cuts, as a natural deodorant, to improve air quality and can be used to wart of verrucas (see what I did there...).

As it is, we're delving more and more into the benefits of essential oils for our health. Oils such as tea tree oil and oregano oil are being used to treat many ailments because of their powerful antibacterial agents, without the side effects you can get from conventional medication.

It's worth researching the benefits of essential oils to improve overall health. But for now, I am sticking with Thursday Plantation for my eczema and I am itching to try more of their range which includes toner, body wash, foot powder and toothpaste (there's more but the above are the ones I can't wait to get my hands on!).

Let us know what you think... Do you use essential oils?
