Choosing the right detox option for you

Detox is something of a buzzword these days, moving away from solely the health and wellness realm into everyday life.

You might hear of somebody attempting a mobile phone detox or television detox as they look to get rid of things they feel aren’t good for them.

But it’s easy to forget or overlook the number of toxins our body encounters every day simply as we go about our daily lives. These things certainly build up and can start to negatively impact our health and wellbeing.

Detoxification in the health and wellness space is a process whereby negative toxins are released from the body. This helps to create a more balanced and positive bodily environment.

When it comes to detoxing your body, there are a host of areas in which you stand to benefit.

If you find yourself feeling sluggish or lazy, this might be due to excessive toxins in the body. Therefore detoxification can help perk you up and give you energy.

Detoxing can aid digestion and weight management. This is because negative toxins often mess up the body’s metabolic function, but detoxification can help restore a better balance.

Your skin also stands to benefit, as negative toxins can lead to breakouts and other skin issues. So detox can help you start to benefit from healthier looking skin.

Your immunity levels can also see a timely boost. This is due to negative toxins interfering with digestive health and lymphatic processes. Get rid of the toxins, and it’s possible to see an upturn in your immune system’s health. So that means potentially fewer coughs and colds!

There are a few different types of supplements that can support detox efforts.

Any fungal build up in the body can be rather unpleasant and have a significant impact on your day. Candida, for example, can proliferate in your system and quickly leave you feeling tired, drained and uninspired. Fungal detoxification supplements can help tackle any unpleasant build ups and get you feeling yourself again.

It’s not a pleasant thought, but there are plenty of parasites that can attack the human body and leave you feeling grim. Parasites can live quite happily within your system, potentially damaging microbial influxes and weakening your immune system.

Detoxing against parasites through supplements can help shift these nasty visitors and enable your system to get back to normal.

The colon isn’t a glamourous topic of conversation admittedly, but if there is a build up of toxins and substances in this part of the body, that can be truly unpleasant. Colonic detoxification can help with this, and we have supplements that can help. However, we advise you to do thorough research into this area before going ahead with colonic detoxification.

One lesser known area in the detoxification bracket is the build up of heavy metals that can happen over time in the body. Substances like mercury, cadmium and lead can sit in your system and are extremely toxic, causing side effects like fatigue, brain fog and chronic pain.

Taking supplements to help alleviate the effects of heavy metals can be a good idea if you’re struggling with any conditions linked to heavy metals in the body.

It’s important to note that detoxification supplements such as those available at Evolution Organics should only be viewed as forming part of the detoxification process, and living a healthy lifestyle and speaking with a medical professional first is the best path to ensure you’re detoxing in the right way.

More About The Author - Henry Maitland

Henry Maitland I've been working in the health and fitness world and have been studying related subjects for over 20 years. I started out studying sports science and human biology in 1994 and went on to qualify and work as a masseur in 1996 than as a personal trainer in 2001. I then went on to qualify as a CHEK practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach in 2002. These are both multi stage qualifications and I spent ten years working my way through the more advanced levels and the epic reading lists that go with them. I still have Chek level 4 to look forward to and in the coming years plan to travel to San Diego and finish the journey. I took a brief break from my studies with the CHEK institute in 2007 to qualify as a St John's certified Neuromuscular Therapist and returned in 2008 and 2009 to complete the level 3 CHEK certifications. 4 years ago I started studying with the four winds institute of energy medicine in America which is formed from the ancient shamanic healing techniques of the South American Q'ero Indians. This combined with the works of David; R Hawkins MD brought together for me the most extraordinary revelation as to dynamics of true health and wellness. I continue to read and study on my own path guided by those that I have studied with previously as I continue my research in to the many subjects that form the health equation. I have been running my own business, Core Evolution, for the last 12 years. I spend the majority of my time taking people through advanced holistic rehabilitation programmes and work on all areas of the Evolution Cycle of health (although not at the same time!) I very much hope I can share some of what I have discovered with you through the Evolution Organics blog. In health, chi, and happiness.
