Often considered 'the bad guy', coffee has recently become the star of its own small PR makeover! It's true. Coffee's largely forgotten and underrated health benefits have once more found themselves centre stage.

Coffee, in its uncultivated form, was first discovered not, as many would possibly guess, in South America, but in 11th Century Ethiopia. It wasn’t until the early 18th Century that the first seedling made its way to the Americas.  That was via the Arabian Peninsula and Europe, where the climate and soil proved optimal, and an industry was born.

In a standard Western diet, it may be surprising to learn that coffee drinking can be one of the healthier aspects. Coffee contains useful amounts of antioxidants, and recent studies have suggested drinking moderate amounts (even decaffeinated), may play a greater role than was previously thought in the fight against some health conditions and diseases. The Bulletproof range is hugely popular. Why? Well, it's probably something to do with the fact that they're made from the highest performance coffee beans available on Earth.

Same goes for Enerhealth, Vivo Life and Four Sigmatic coffee range (to name but a few)

Why is organic better?

It can be easy to forget that coffee is the fruit of a plant crop, and, as such, is subject to the same residual pesticide contamination as any other non-organic foodstuff. Many of us opt for organic fruit and vegetables, not only because we believe them to be healthier, but also because they often just taste better; and the same can be said for coffee.
