These 100% pure, raw, organic Cacao Nibs come from the Criollo beans growing deep in the Peruvian Rainforest. They are low in sugar and salt and high in dietary fibre and are a good source of potassium, magnesium and iron. They taste great added to smoothies or in home baking.
We enjoy eating chocolate but very few have ever eaten it in its natural, nutritiously superior state. Chocolate makers take the Cacao beans, roast them, crush them and add sugar (and sometimes milk) to make chocolate. Keeping the beans in their raw state (i.e. not roasting them) helps to maintain their wonderful array of nutritional state.
